Dream Living..

I am living in a dream!! The colors are vivid- orange, green, red, and blue!! I feel all the different beats of my heart!! More important than learning the details of spanish and english is to learn around which plants my heart sighs softly, to see with how much sunshine my heart will begin to grin, to hear with how much sleepiness my heart begins to thump "dunk ..... dunk dunk...... dunk....dunk dunk", to feel it's rapid acceleration with the approach of certain people...

and for ego reasons of family and commodity the city can be beautiful as well, but to learn these very important, delicate lessons, and how to apply their mastery in a daily routine of self-discipline and advancement of the soul, it is here in my beautiful Caribbean town where such loud exterior sounds have been turned down (somewhat), and where there are Ceiba trees, cenotes, and still vibrant ecology that all serve in their existence to magnify only the inner sounds and the sounds of their sacred ancestors that have been retained in the waters, walls, trunks and stems....

what a blessing... i wish only the same and more to all in this new year...

Before 2012

Before 2012

If a little bird sings once
and sings twice, and can't
find the wind...
It must run and run, hop and hop,
until it senses the earth
a bit cooler,
a bit more moist.
There it will find the trickle of running water.
And where water emerges
naturally from this baking crust
it will feel sacred waves of energy
envelop it.
If the bird can arrive there and feel these waves,
it will clearly find the wind
and be in the center of it in all it's glory,
and hug it,
and be able to fly
and sing freely.

I Opened my Heart- and a Sunflower Tree Sprouted!

I Opened my Heart- and a Sunflower Tree Sprouted!

Patience.
But it's not my fault
that somehow we have the power
to walk in and out of
each other's dreams,
and that we intimately know,
from some unknown past,
the glowing threads of which
our dreams are spun!

En el Rumbo del Via Lactea...

Como son besos cuando
vienen del corazon y no del sexo?
Son ligeros, son petalos
que fluyen encima del rio.
Son chispas del fogato
que el viento lleva,
son efimeros pero
con origenes sagrados.
Ilumen caminos celestiales
en vez de
senderos rocosos.
Y si cruzco piedras
ahora cuando sigo en mi rumbo,
escucho el agua adentro,
en vez del fuego afuera.
Y con tiempo,
si el rio lleva los besos
entre todas las chakras
hasta que llega a Muladhara
-al base-
alli estaremos encima del crater
del volcan,
mirando adentro a la lava naranja, viva,
decidiendonos a brincar o a volar...

far far away from here...
with copal in our pockets and hope in our hearts
and with smiles
and where we can dream under the trees...

Beginning the search for my copalera..

I know now I need to find a copalera to burn the copal in, if i want to clean my house- not in just any random saucer (duh!)- as a resin it melted into a puddle- a puddle of fire- and after sliding the saucer quickly on the counter and moving away all dishrags and footstool from the spitting, jumping flames, after spritzing water only to excite the flames more, i went and got a scoop of soil and tossed it on it- SUCCESS!!

so now to go look for a copalera...

I have cried, I have eaten a lot of vegetables, I am out of food and ideas and tears. And the winds and the desert spread vast and wide in front of me. The sky is a beautiful electric blue and tangerine color, and the air is crisp. The coyote has already howled hello to me from the distance, beckoning me to follow it.. and a friendly snake slithered by promising not to bite me if I would accompany him to the next city... The cactus in the desert are the most admirable, full of water, succulent beings they are, and extremely resilient. Christmas is coming and what better way to spend it than wandering around the desert- letting the winds take me, seeing how high of cliffs I can climb up to...
