as i plan my Día de los Muertos costume...

Here's another really nice passage from Deepak Chopra's "The path to Love" book, i just love it and need to keep rolling it around in my head as I plan my Day of the Dead costume...

"What do we typically imagine death to be--extinction? falling down an endless hole? going unconscious forever? But these are all projections. Can you imagine the day you won't exist? Can you imagine the day before you existed? Both are essentially the same, aren't they? Therefore couldn't both just be stages of life that we aren't in contact with?" (p.222)

WOW!! but let's listen very hard and walk lightly to see the small contacts that are made... both in the physical world and in our interior spirit...

If spirits exist there has to be some kind of afterlife. Personally, I think too many unexplained things happen all the time for them not to be around us in some form or another. Many people say they have had after death experiences. Therefore I don't think death is an endless hole or an unconsciousness.
